I started building cars in 2001 with my 1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I took it from a bone stock car, sitting at the back of a used car dealership collecting dust, to a 10 second car. After starting a family I took time off from working on cars but always wanted to start working on them when my kids got older.
In 2015 I purchased a 1967 Ford Mustang which became our first family project car. With the help of Matthew and Kamdyn I took it from a car that wasn't even street worthy to a show car that also has a bit of power to it.
Our next build was a 1978 Ford Bronco which all 3 of my boys (Matthew, Kamdyn & Chase) helped me with along the way.
Matthew's dream car was a Mazda Miata, Kamdyn's was a Subaru WRX and Chase's is an early 70's Datsun 240.
Matthew purchased a 1992 Mazda Miata that he wanted to build but life got in the way so he had to sell. He is planning to find another one to build when life allows him to.
Starting in 2021 Kamdyn and I started building his first car, a 2004 Subaru WRX. After 2 years of working on it, which included a full wiring harness and transmission swap to a manual from an automatic, a race engine, performance suspension & steering, and many other upgrades, we finished his car just in time for him to get his drivers license.
In 2022 I picked up a "barn/field find", a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX that I was going to start building. After bringing it back to life I found that parts for these cars were becoming very difficult, and expensive, to find. I made the decision to simply rebuild it back to stock and then sell it instead of building a racecar like I had planned.
In 2023 I made the decision to sell my 1967 Mustang so I could buy a kit and build my childhood dream car, a 1965 Shelby Cobra. I was fortunate enough to find one locally that had almost everything I wanted but needed some work, which was a perfect project for me and saved me the extra time of having to build from the ground up. It turned out to need a lot more work than I had originally expected but 6 months later I got it finished.
Chase still wants an early 70's Datsun...haha. Time will tell which project we work on next!

I found this sitting in the back of a field out in Northeastern Colorado. It has been sitting for over 6 years. Purchased it without knowing anything about it aside from it being AWD and turbo. Pretty much the same car as the 1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD that got me into cars to begin with back in 2001. Time will tell what the future holds for this one...
Kamdyn wanted to do a manual transmission swap since the 2004 WRX Sedan we found him was an automatic so we found a 2004 WRX Wagon with a manual transmission to use as a donor car. We took out all of the manual transmission components, including the entire wiring harness, and Kamdyn swapped everything into the 2004 WRX Sedan above. After the swap we finished building the car into a safe and reliable "daily driver" with a LOT of power.
